I Heart Craigslist

Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE a good deal. I am always looking for a bargain. Lately I have learned to LOVE craigslist, it is sorta like e-bay minus the bidding. I have gotten some great items in the past such as: shoes for Micah's ever growing feet, snow suit for the wee little man, clothes for wee man tate, etc. Today I got the best deal so far...a Kelty Child Carrier for $35. Our friends have one that they had let us use to take a walk through the woods with Micah and he loved the ride so we have been trying to find one at a good deal since new they are over $150. Turns out the person who sold us ours was a doctor in Appleton and has adopted 2 boys. His boys are from the exotic town of Sheboygan...which happens to be where I grew up and where most of my family still lives...Small World!! I will try to post some pics soon of Micah in his new "ride". Melissa

Back in Line

Well, last week marked Micah being home for 6 months...WOW, I can not believe how fast the time has gone. He is an absolute blessing to us and we can not believe how perfect he fits into our family. He has grown so much in the past 6 months: Physically, Emotionally, and Behaviorally. He definitely knows what he wants and makes sure you are aware! He has lots of words that he uses, his favorite new word is CHEESE :). Now that Micah has been here 6 months we can file with the courts for his re-adoption and then he becomes a US citizen...YIPPEE!! The paperwork will end....well kinda!?!?! That brings me to the other BIG NEWS we have....we are just finishing up the paperwork for our 2nd Ethiopian adoption. YUP that's right, call us crazy but we are going for #2!! We are requesting a girl 18-36 months and our agency said that the wait time for a referral will be about 4-6 months, after that there will still be several more months before we will have court and travel. So it looks like late winter/early spring we will have some PINK in this house :) We are so excited to go back to Ethiopia and complete our family. Stay tuned for some updated pics of Micah and we will also update everyone along the steps of this new journey we are about to embark on!!! Melissa

Happy 1st Fathers Day!

Today was Scott's first Fathers day as a DaDa. Micah had bought dada a special gift that he picked out himself and gave it to dada early this morning. Scott Loved the new T-shirt that Micah had chose and wore it proudly all day. Scott had to crew at the races all day today, so Micah and I were able to spend time with both his Grandpas. He LOVES his Grandpas!!! He spent the morning at Grandpa T's camper playing and making him "soup". Then this afternoon we went with Grandpa M to Wings and Wheels at the airport. Micah had so much fun feeding a camel and watching all the planes take off. He has REALLY started to LOVE planes lately :). Tonight when dada got home from the races, Micah greeted him with a Huge smile and a great big Kiss. What a Great day!!! Happy Fathers Day, Luvey!! (and all the others Dada's out there!) Melissa
